About Workspace Lakepath

We are a Cape Town practice dedicated to identity and access management reviews — the slow, careful work of understanding entitlement reality before recommending change.

Registered business

The official registered business name is Workspace Lakepath (Pty) Ltd. The practice was established in 2018 in Cape Town after several years of freelance identity governance work for mid-sized South African organisations.

Early clients came from logistics and regional finance teams who needed audit-ready evidence of access decisions — without buying another platform. That brief still shapes how we scope every engagement: read-only where possible, interviews that respect operational pressure, and findings written for the people who must own remediation.

How we work

Reviews are led by senior practitioners who have spent their careers in directory operations, access certification programmes, and privileged account hygiene. We do not sell software licences. We sell clarity about identity risk and a practical order of work.

Values that show up in the room: plain language in reports, named owners on every high finding, and honesty when evidence is incomplete. Mild disagreement during workshops is welcome; silent rubber-stamping is not.

Community and place

Our office sits at 99 Range Road in the City of Cape Town. Much of the fieldwork still happens in meeting rooms across the Western Cape, with remote interviews for teams in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, and further afield.

We keep the practice deliberately focused on cybersecurity identity and access management reviews so depth stays ahead of breadth. When a client needs penetration testing or SOC operations, we say so and point them elsewhere.
